Position SummaryThis position provides leadership within the Process Excellence Department and organization by leading change and managing large, complex strategic projects. Responsibilities include facilitating system-level kaizen teams, coordinating process improvement activities across all business units, communicating/presenting updates and summaries to Senior Leadership, coaching hospital leaders and resolving issues. This high-level position requires an extensive communication skill set to proactively identify key physician and executive team needs, assist in setting priorities through the business plan creation and impact verification, develop long-range project timeline and key milestones, and lead the execution of those developed plans. Other responsibilities include change management, business process analysis, leadership coaching, strategic planning, operational planning, financial analysis, and business plan development.
Minimum QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
-Bachelor?s Degree focusing on Operations Management or Engineering disciplines, or RN with a Bachelor?s Degree in Healthcare at a minimum to understand technical aspects of the job.
-Certification as a Black Belt or Lean Expert or 5 – 7 years of on the job process improvement facilitation experience required.
-In-depth knowledge and global understanding of healthcare business model and financial structure.
-Master?s Degree preferred.
-Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects involving 20 ? 50 people at any given time without any degradation in the quality of work performed.

Specialized Knowledge:
-Statistical analysis and business computations.
-Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management or other problem solving skills (FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and TQA) required.
-Software knowledge including Lotus Notes or MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint required.
-Need a great deal of perseverance to achieve stated team objectives. Past hands-on experience is a must.
-A great deal of this job comes down to convincing others that they need to change how they conduct business. This individual must possess strong leadership skills and be the ability to persuade others.
-Ability to assess a target audience and determine appropriate styles of communication which will be effective (i.e. physicians, nursing staff, etc).
– Demonstrated knowledge through experience and education in the areas of Business justification including proforma and ROI calculations, negotiation, conflict resolution, communication, portfolio management, project management, strategic planning, operational planning and deployment, and leading practices in Quality, Safety, Operational Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction.

KIND & LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE
-Master?s Degree or 10+ yrs experience leading/managing people, implementing large scale process improvement initiatives using lean and six sigma techniques, and leading cultural change and managing large (multi-department), complex, multi-faceted projects & initiatives.
-Certification as a Black Belt or Lean Expert or 5 – 7 years of on the job facilitation experience required.
