License/Certification/Education:

AA or BA/BS that qualifies as a MLT or MT

1-3 years of customer service experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelAble to maintain accurate logs and recordsAble to adjust schedule on a short notice. Willingness to learn additional duties within the department. Able to multi-task. Well organized. Able to work both independently, as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to research, troubleshoot and resolve customer problems. Must be able to support and explain reasoning for decisions. Must have a positive attitude. Must be able to manage difficult and/or emotional customer situations. Must demonstrate attention to detail.

 

Job Description:

Acts as a technical reference within the Customer Service Department while functioning as a liaison between LabCorp and its accounts in response to inquiries.Maintains logs/records, researches information, uses computerized databases, phone and email communication with patients, clients and internal employees. Switchboard training.
