Overview

The Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for profitably growing the sales of the Sensata Inverters at all sales channel levels, Leasing Companies, Truck Body MFG, Arial MFG, Truck Builders/Up-fitters, OEM’s and End-User Fleets.  The territory covers Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ontario Canada.

Successful candidate will:

  • Develop an extensive knowledge of Sensata Inverters, their applications, industry code requirements, Leasing Companies, Truck Body MFG, Vehicle Up-fitters, Arial MFG, and OEM’s, and fleets.
  • Defend existing sales and penetrate deeper the core customer base
  • Identify relevant associations, and publications
  • Identify new customer targets & create action plan to close new customers.
  • Attend relevant industry trade shows
  • Identify key decisions makers at the fleet and specification writing levels
  • Develop an effective working relationship with key business partners
  • Develop an understanding of fleets needs and how effectively our products addresses those needs
  • Work internally to create accurate forecasting
  • Map competitive landscape, and identify gaps
  • Identify and communicate new market potentials for product development
  • Communicate regularly with customer service to ensure customer satisfaction

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Ability to understand new business channels and adapt for success
  • Strategic/key account and product deployment experience
  • Ability to command cross-functional support and respect
  • Understand the Utility market channel (Leasing Companies, Truck Body MFG, Arial MFG, Truck Builders/Up-fitters, OEM’s and End-User Fleets)
  • Customer Focus
  • Efficiency with MS Office, CRM’s and expense management software.

Required:

  • Demonstrated account management experience
  • 5+ years of channel sales/marketing experience
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to travelk up to 50% Required
