Perioperative Pt Care Tech / Internal Resource Pool-Allied

Perioperative Pt Care Tech (Job Opening 378784) – Performs technical skills related to patient contact.  Provides emergency care measures as appropriate.  Assists in meeting the patient’s emotional needs.  Completes documentation in an accurate, concise and timely manner, provides indirect care to a group of patients by facilitating Perioperative care.  Follows universal precautions, safe handling guidelines, and all other infection control standards.  Provides for safety/security of self and others and follows special precautions as related to Anesthesia/surgical areas and other appropriate locations.  Promotes positive attitude to staff, families, patient/guests as well as maintains patient confidentiality.

Education and Experience

One year of experience as a hospital aide, EMT certification, completion a military corpsman training program with direct patient care required or successful completion of PCT training course required.  Experience in acute care environment preferred.
