An exciting medical device manufacturer in the Dayton area has launched a new product and sales are exceeding expectations.  They’re growing extremely fast and are in need of an experienced Director of Supply Chain Management.

My client designs and manufactures implantable joints in the US.  Their designs are proven and are sold at a lower cost than their competitor, so they’re rapidly gaining market share. They need a Director of Supply Chain Management to optimize their inventory and purchasing for this period of rapid growth.

In this position, you would be the main point of contact for contract improvements and supply chain projects.  They would rely on your expertise to “audit” their existing supply chain, make recommendations, and then implement these recommendations. Additional responsibilities would be ongoing supply chain audits and potentially team management.

This company has shifted into high gear and this crucial position will impact their future as well as patient availability of life changing medical devices.

Responsibilities:

 Translate sales into forecast needs
 Optimize inventory and purchase ordering
 Maintain warehouse system in compliance with regulatory and internal specifications
 Orchestrate cost and pricing in ERP system
 Make key recommendations to management
 Maintain knowledge of important regulations

Qualifications:

If you have the following we would like to talk with you:

 BA or BS degree required
 5+ years of Supply Chain experience
 Experience in a Medical Device company, preferably orthopedic experience
 Experience with ERP software:  SAP, Intuitive, Infor, SISPRO, Epicor
