Overview

Position Summary: Responsible for management of overall office operations and the cultivation of marketing focus environment.  Responsible for maintaining a proactive work environment through integrating processes across the agency, improving processes through redesign to make the agency more efficient while maintaining an on target timeline for reaching business objectives.  Accountable for making decisions that will affect the business outcome in the agency.
Performance Objectives: 1.  Work with Senior Leadership to establish the business plan including production, persistency, retention, staffing and training. 2.  Develop cross training plan to ensure coverage and effective support for daily business operations. 3.  Manage daily workflow and operations both onsite and in remote locations in order to positively impact the set business objectives; establish office procedures. 4.  Oversee all compliance systems and processes to ensure all activities and materials are in line with company ethics and compliance standards. 5.  Manage and oversee expenses and profitability. 6.  Manage and support the marketing functions, related activities, and special initiatives to promote conservation and develop new sales opportunities. 7.  Provide management support to achieve the office recruiting objectives; Supervise activities related to recruiting and the appointment process. 8.  Oversee the administrative operations, including the new business process. 9.  Oversee the recognition program. Manage associates’ performance-Establish objectives, expected results and development plans for associates; Provide ongoing feedback and conduct performance reviews as outlined in Performance management plan. 10.  Promote a positive and professional work environment.

Position Requirements

The Ideal Candidate Should Have: 1. Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school or GED required. 2. 8-10 years of related work experience with 5+ years in management and in the insurance or financial services industry. Series 7 and 24 securities licenses required.  Knowledge of compliance for financial services industry helpful. 3. Demonstrated leadership skills. Comfortable as a “role model/leader”- willingly provides leadership to staff during times of change. Experience in performance management processes helpful. 4. Good interpersonal skills. Works effectively with all levels of employees and management to meet Company goals. 5. Professionalism in the work environment. Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage own performance effectively, to plan and organize time and priorities to achieve business results. 6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effectively receives, interprets, and disseminates information verbally and in writing in a manner that is clear and precise and able to be acted upon. 7. Strong PC skills, proficient in MS Office and Outlook. Capable of understanding and implementing new technology. 8. Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, products and services OR ability to learn and effectively communicate them.
